Yellow tamarillo / yellow tree tomato

The yellow tree tomato is a variety of the regular red tree tomato and produces 10 cm large, yellow fruits. They also have yellow flesh and can be scooped or processed in dishes. New Zealand was the first country to commercially exploit the species, and launched the trade name “tamarillo”. The yellow variant is, however, seldom offered on the market.
