The flowers of this succulent from Africa have a very distinct look, resembling the pattern of a Persian carpet and can be 13 cm large. They are bait flowers, so that these are pollinated by flies in nature. The genus Edithcolea only contains this species and is found in warm, dry areas. It’s an easily kept plant that performs well as a houseplant.

Germination instructions:
Sow seeds in a mix of sand and sowing mix (3:1) at a temperature of 20-25 degC. Keep the soil constantly moist. Germination should occur within a few weeks.

Barend Baarssen (22-09-2015) rating 5 Deze zaadjes gezaaid en na 5 dagen in een huis onder een kapje in de zon al 3 plantjes ( 1cm ) van de 5 zaadjes.
Erg goede kwaliteit dus.
Nu wachten tot de plant groot geworden is en dan genieten!
